hiatus.
hello guys. i’m logging on today just to leave you guys a short message.
with more convenient social networking tools like twitter, facebook, among many others, i feel there’s no longer any purpose or necessity for full-fledged blogging. having said that, i am keeping this site up in the rare occasion that i have something big to announce, rant or narrate. i’ll still respond to whatever shouts you leave. if you would still like to follow my blog, it would be easier if you subscribe to the RSS feed so that you do not have to keep visiting this page to check for updates.
with that in mind, i’d like to let you know that i’ll be active on Twitter and Facebook, and will use them to deliver bits and pieces of the happenings of my daily life to you.

(almost) the dawn of liberation
5 more days. 1 last paper. the end is so near. what a horrible journey it has been. i’m so tired. can’t wait for it to end as quickly as possible. after that. i’ll be free. awaiting for the wonderful vacation starting on the 20th. i’ll be away for half a month then. gonna be so exciting. haha. 2 more days and it’ll be the 1st anniversary of inthum. so nostalgic! i’m going to re-open my box of stuff from inthum then. read the black notebook of funny comments by the inthummers. lol. especially jeng yang’s. haha. whoa. look at my blogging style. it has become so crappy. one whole chunk of garbage thoughts. haha. forgive me please, cos it has been ages since i blogged. to be precise, it’s been roughly more than 2 months.
anyways. here i am, once again, and with a new blog song as well. it’s a fresh track by new korean girl group RAINBOW, a seven member group and they’re awesome! haha. i’m still devoted to SNSD though, if you would like to know. hmm..on second thought, you guys wouldn’t want to know at all. you’re all probably sick of my craziness over SNSD. haha.

hello world
thursday marked the end of prelims. there was no sense of satisfaction. neither was there a sense of relief, nor even a slight tinge of excitement. in a bid to drown our sorrow, the Clique went for a movie outing and kboxing.
we watched the time traveller’s something. omona! i can’t even remember the title of the movie cos it was so draggy, boring and sleep-inducing. perhaps the movie was produced largely with audience who have read the book in mind; i haven’t. anyways, after the movie, we contemplated for a long while before deciding to settle for a kbox session. it was my first time. it was expensive and totally horrible! haha. zzZ.
anyways, yesterday we had the first inthum gathering in ages. unfortunately the teachers were unable to go. quite wasted..cos it was meant to be a birthday celebration for them. ):
but nevertheless, we had fun. aisyah, lydia, zhaopeng and i went to vivo earlier at around 3:30pm to shop for the presents. it was an exhausting feat, both mentally and physically. at 6:30, we met up with the rest and had dinner at pizza hut. it was great seeing most of inthum there. i had half-expected only a couple to turn up. we went to the rooftop and played polar bear after dinner. it was really fun, especially with jeng yang and hiong yong the duo jokers. haha. we took so many photos yesterday. lol.
OH AND BTW TO AISYAH AND SHIQAH AND EVERYONE ELSE: SNSD IS NOT SDSM. IT’S LIKE SAYING SATAN IS GODLY, WHICH IS TOTALLY TWISTED LOGIC AND WILL NEVER EVER HAPPEN!
i’m uploading the photos to facebook as i speak. speaking of which, I’M SO PISSED OFF WITH THE FACEBOOK UPLOADING SYSTEM! it keeps saying ‘upload failed, please try again’ after the progress bar reached 100%. and i’ve been repeatedly retrying! argh!! hope it works this time!

anyways, prelims just started…like yesterday. the papers so far were relatively okay. well, at least they were not as scary as i had anticipated. i hope it’ll stay this way for the rest of the papers (although i’m very skeptical that this would be the case). i’m seriously panicking for chemistry. i hate organic chem so much! there’s so much to memorize…and it’s a well-known fact that i’ve short-term memory. haha. damn.
having said that, all the best to everyone out there! i really CAN’T wait for prelims to be over!

- shiqah ~actually my dslr isn’t that expensive. the basic kit costs $1399. it’s just that my dad insisted on getting the better lens for a few hundred more dollars. he must have be feeling quite rich at that time. haha. your last sentence reinforced my decision of not bringing it to school. =P

i finally found time to test out my new camera! using a DSLR isn’t as daunting as it seems. after reading up a bit, i’ve managed to master the basics of aperture and shutter controls. so i went around the house taking some random shots.
the photos are really pretty! i think i’m falling in love with photography. (:
