Epitome of Madness

haven’t really got the time and mood to blog for the past few days. as i’m writing this entry now, my mind is thinking of EoM, EoM and more EoM. ZzZ…project work’s killing me.

anyways, nothing much happened during the past week. tests and exams have been such a common occurrence that it doesn’t really bother me much anymore..econs test on monday was quite alright in my opinion. physics paper 2 was a killer. paper 1 today wasn’t as bad, but certainly not excellent. i’ve been sleeping for around 3 hours daily for the past few days..it’s pretty taxing on the mind. study study study, but the end result is still the same…i’m probably going to fail physics.

i’d landed myself in detention again – my second time in jj. the first time was because i ponned spring cleaning – we had to pick 3kg worth of dead leaves. i think i blogged on that detention before…but it’s buried somewhere deep in my archive, so don’t bother digging for it. today’s detention was because i ponned cultural studies. i’m such a great ponstar. lol. the detention was more or less the same….picking up λkg of leaves. but this time they were more specific. we had to pick bamboo leaves. it’s a sadistic change as bamboo leaves are the smallest leaves you could find in jjc. therefore, with a smaller volume, by using the formula Mass = Volume × Density and taking the density of leaves as constant, it effectively means that bamboo leaves are super uber light and we need to pick millions of them to fulfill the weight requirement. dots..i’m getting lame.

sian. gotta get back to my EoM now…

* Edit: sorry, all “today”s used in this post actually meant yesterday. didn’t realised it’s past midnight…ZzZ.

youth day

the reason why i don’t blog as often is that my life is so boring now. there’s practically nothing interesting or funny to blog about. oh…welcome to the JJC life derek!

anyways, i’m really a bad organiser for events and gatherings. of all the gatherings i’ve organised so far (be it OG or “class”), 100% of them have been failures. the same goes for today’s gathering, which was originally supposed to be a fun-filled movie outing. in the end, only zhaopeng, shermaine, bin ming and ziyu came for, not a movie, but tennis at my house. the worst part is that most of them hadn’t even got the chance to play cos it began pouring heavily. in the end we had to coop up in my small and messy bedroom studying, listening to music, playing psp, surfing the web, and helping SHERMAINE with her eom..

well, it was a relatively boring gathering, but at least we shermaine got some work done.

zhaopeng and shermaine made me realise that i do have a friendster account. the last time i bothered with friendster was like…3 years ago. haha. so…i’m going to update my friendster now…=D

=D

yet another boring day at school…

mr mak wasn’t in school, yet again…which means we had the whole civics lesson free, which in turn, means i had a long 2½ hour break. =D

i lunched out at redhill market with shermaine, zhao peng and ziyu. the food was awesomely superb although it burnt quite a significant hole in my wallet. man…i’ve been overspending again! i should learn from zhao peng and start saving up…

i’ve been reading up on the various kinds of phobias lately and i came across several interesting ones. one of which is this: Hippotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia. the definition of this phobia is ludicrously ironic – the fear of long words. the guy who came up with this word must’ve thought of it as a joke. lol.

also, i found out that there’s also the fear of friday the 13th. the word is quite a mouthful (although not to the extent of “hippotomonstrousesquippedaliophobia”) – “paraskavedekatriaphobia”. haha.

this may interest shermaine: the fear of birds is called ornithophobia. that makes shermaine an ornithophobiac. =D

anyways, a new blog song, yet again. it’s a really nice track called “say it again” by natasha bedingfield (chin ting’s favourite xD). i’ve been playing it over and over again in my playlist since last month and i’m still not tired of it…haha. =D

time to RELAX!

雨过天晴 (is it..?)

yay! time to relax!! i feel so freaking relieved now that the worst day of school is finally over. =D =D

physics spa went pretty smoothly in general, although i didn’t have time to complete the last portion, which was such a waste of marks…

chemistry test was right after physics spa. i think i did okay (at least better than previous lecture tests).

econs test after school was the most demanding test of all. so much for saving the best for last. anyways, i felt that i fared way better than previous tests. i’m hoping for a very significant improvement. just hope that it won’t be a disappointment when i get back my results.

all of a sudden, i’ve this urge and motivation to study…it’s quite strange. i just hope it isn’t short-lived. =D

last week had been pretty uneventful. my life is so boring man! oh yeah, yesterday was bestia’s belated birthday celebration. zihui threw a very small “party” for her. usual stuff like smashing whipped cream and eating birthday cake….=D anyways, happy belated birthday bestia!

i don’t know what else to write now…so i’ll stop here. do tag in the shoutbox! =D

friday is finally here! but i can’t relax! i’ve to organize a birthday party over the weekends!! (i hate organizing events!). i’m now all stressed up over it okay! urghh.. you must be saying “what’s so difficult about organising a birthday party?” i’d say EVERY part of it! especially when i’ve find a way, by hook or by crook, to pay $150 upfront on behalf of everyone to buy the birthday present…zzz. what do u expect me to do..? plant a money tree or conjure cash out of thin air..? sians..i shouldn’t have forgotten my bank pin number. lol.

ponned school yesterday.

today’s gp paper 2 was quite alright. i’m counting greatly on this paper to pull up my overall combined grade cos i think i wrote way out of point for paper 1. i did question 11, which was something like..”more teenagers today are going for cosmetic surgery to improve their looks. do you think this should be recommended.”. i emphasized a lot on “inner beauty” rather than answering the question itself, the reason being i thought the cause of this trend is due to the teenagers’ preoccupation with beauty and the social ethos that prioritizes outward appearance above all. sighh..

there’ll be a whole new myriad of tests coming up next week. it’s like…so freaking endless.

anyways, i’ve to mention that P (full name has been omitted to protect myself) is damn weird. i remember saying somewhere on my blog a long time ago that i kinda like him. i’d take that comment back. i’m going to discontinue discussion and planning sessions for a bridge club cos it’s simply too troublesome. my initial plan was to have a simple club where students meet to relax and enjoy themselves. but after some discussions, it has taken a complete makeover and complicatedly morphed into some business proposal which involves manufacturing, supplying and shareholders. what the…. forget it.

furthermore, the words that emanate from P’s mouth is riduculously unbelievable. i don’t want to touch on the details as it would be a huge giveaway….*next thing i know, i’ll probably be dragged out during assembly and imprisoned in the conference room to reflect upon my wrongdoings*. haha. i feel like organising a rebellion, a mutiny of some kind. something like overthrowing the self-proclaimed “authoritarian hitler”. hmmm…strength in numbers – perhaps the entire cohort should go to school late one day. it’ll damn amusing if they were to embark on a multi-million dollar project to construct a humongous conference room with the capacity to house the entire student population. xD anyways, i wouldn’t be surprised if they do that, especially after they bought so many mirrors and put them up at almost every angle of the school just to prove the point that – rough quote: “you think you look into the mirror and look so pretty but actually, your friends all think you are very the ugly.”

smart.

updates.

saturday: birthday celebration for ziyu. it was one hell of a hectic day, where we spent a staggering 6 hours walking round and round and round and round vivo looking for a good birthday present for ziyu. haha. i was so relieved and happy when jaystine, kelly and co finally decided to buy that nike bag that we spent god knows how long trying to figure out whether it looks good on ziyu. don’t get me wrong though. i love shopping…but only if i’m buying stuff for myself. xD anyways, the birthday celebration was a resounding success! haha. we managed to keep ziyu unsuspecting right till the end, when we gave him a surprise and scare (rightfully so for keeping us waiting for eons…). =D reached home at 11 plus, damn exhaused can! (i’ll upload pics when i received them).

sunday: woke up early in the morning to go for trilympics (at huiyan’s bidding). my legs were still quite sore as a result of yesterday’s “shop till you drop” session. anyways, i managed this:

Trilympics 2008 Certificate of Achievement

Trilympics 2008 Certificate of Achievement

i managed to achieve this with some help from fanndly and girish. =D and….no more worries over lack of CIP hours! haha.

today: ponned school. initially, ziyu and zhaopeng thought we were late for school and didn’t want to end up in the conference room wasting time. didn’t know that assembly was cancelled. but who cares? haha. we went to mac anyways to study for chemistry test. i had 2 $2.30 meals and $4.40 meal at KFC. haha. such a big appetite right..? i announced that i’ve high metabolic rate and bin ming declared that ppl with high metabolism die early. he proved his point by linking to mice, which have a lifespan of 2 years. lols..

anyways, just a recommendation for any JJcians out there – if you’re late for school, don’t bother going in, getting booked and imprisoned in the conference room. instead, just reap the benefits of the opportunity cost but ponning school entirely, go home to rest and study, or if you have something on after school (exams or whatever stuff), hang out at macs until 1pm before going into school. =D

busy gpp-ing and eom-ing now….guess i’ll stop writing here.
