class CIP

yesterday: the amazing heritage race organised by JJC. it became a cip project involving the whole class and a few other CSLs. we were station masters and zhao peng, bin ming and i were assigned to the bukit batok nature reserve. we went there armed with our PSPs, iPod speaker and revision notes. the weather would have been perfect if we were going there for a sun tan. unfortunately it wasn’t the case. nevertheless, i thought it was pretty worthwhile to participate in that event. we, being slackers as always, didn’t want to recite the background information of bukit batok nature reserve over and over again for the 15 teams participating in the race. therefore, we came prepared with a computer-generated recording i made the night before, which was hilarious. zhao peng wanted to have some abba track as the background music so i acceded to his request. if you’re curious, you may want to listen to my (ahem) masterpiece here: Stupid Robot Voice.

we had to put this banner up and the double-sided tape chiu ping supplied didn’t work. so we turned to nature for help. after some tiring tugging and slashing at vines, we finally managed to hoist this up.

picturesque scenery.

graphite cliff at the lake.

the lake.

a look into the past: how ancient people mug – sitting on a rock by the lake.

we witnessed something new at the nature reserve – line fishing. the fish in this picture aren’t the catch, but the bait. they’ll impale (aww..) these poor little goldfish on the fishing hook and toss them out into the lake to catch the bigger fish (which, according to the old man there, is the kind of fish used in the sweet & sour fish dish).

this was the friendly fisherman.

after packing up and on the way back…the route we took was full of monkeys. dozens of them. we witnessed monkeys from all walks of life (you’ll know more later…). this monkey we saw was quite a smart one. it tore open a discarded packet of drink to sip the contents.

same monkey.

this cute and innocent-looking monkey, on the other hand, was a horny one. looks can be deceiving (as proven in this picture). shortly after i took this picture, it started to wank right in front of us. bin ming managed to capture the sinful deed on his phone (he didn’t realise what it was doing at the time when he took the image), but he deleted it as it simply too sick to look at. monkey porn is bad. lol.

this was one interesting saturday i had. =D

happy birthday girish!

Girish's birthday bash.

girish’s birthday bash (pun intended), illustrated here with his manhood at stake. uberly expressive photo – there couldn’t have been a more perfect timing than this.

the look of intense pain and torture scrawled all over his face. i feel really sorry for him…a valuable lesson learnt – there’s no way i’ll go to school on my birthday. =P

$$ no enough.

yesterday:

movie with bin ming, zi yu, shermaine and i. yep, we watched the (quote bin ming:) “no money show”. almost 90% of the movie hall was occupied by aunties and uncles. haha. anyways, i gotta say the movie was quite boring, although there’re some parts which are pretty funny and very touching. there’s a scene in the movie where the bedridden mother gave up her life to save her granddaughter. i found that part truly heartrending. bin ming said he’d almost cried when he saw that part. anyways, putting aside the occasional humour and heartwrenching scenes, i feel that the movie didn’t live up to my expectations. i was anticipating a more comedial movie, something like <i not stupid>. nvm..

yay! i’ve a long weekend break to look forward to – tomorrow, saturday, sunday and monday! =D =D. and i got back econs results yesterday…i passed! zOMG. i passed! i just felt so..relieved! i got a C i think. can’t really remember…but what matters is that i passed! haha. i got back physics overall results today too. i passed that also! i was so afraid that i’d failed physics okay. i got a C for physics too. although i did manage to pass, i am not happy with a mere C… sigh. anyways, what you reap is what you sow. i haven’t been putting in much effort studying, so i’d just have to accept what i have now and move on…

promos are just round the corner. have to start preparations…don’t wanna flunk anything and get retained..

o.o

i wasted 4 hours of life in library today, did duty like removing dozens dreadful sticky call numbers off the casing of thousand-year-old CDs and pasting new ones back on. the stickiness was damn gross man. it was as tenacious as superglue and no matter how many times and how much soap i used to wash my hands, the stickiness remains. urgh.

i’ve stopped piano lessons altogether due to time constrains. it was quite a hard decision… anyways, i would really like to thank my piano teacher Kenneth for his guidance in the past few years. =D

school today was relatively okay. the first lesson in the morning was GP…and it was the release of the common test scripts. my paper 1 results are quite unexpected. i got really lucky i guess. i thought i digressed from the main topic for paper 1, and furthermore, i was hard-pressed for time and didn’t finish off the essay as i’d planned. for paper 2, i did reasonably okay…quite a consistent result since sec 2. i’ve got my AC teacher Ms Chew to thank for that. she’s a really excellent teacher man. =D

that’s about all i’ve got to blog about for today. thinking hard on what to do for PW…sianed.

ACS festival of arts

yesterday: went for the festival of arts’ guitar orchestra “frets 2″ at AC. it was amazingly and awesomely splendid! and, not to mention, totally wicked too! especially the rock segment. the way the bassist (mark) played was totally sick. so was the drummer. the movie theme medley was pretty cool stuff. edward bingei put on a splendid performance…it was really funny when he mimicked the voices of harry potter, ron and smeagol (lotr). ahh. i should’ve invited everyone i know to attend the concert man. it was one of the best school performances i’ve ever seen. anyways, it felt really great to be back at AC.. a walk around the campus brought back tons and tons of simply fond memories…

after the performance, eugene, wei hao and i decided to go out for supper. we went to the coffeeshop opposite school but it was closed. en route to the coffeeshop further down dover, eugene accidentally stepped on a heap of incense paper ashes. his reaction was darn funny…he started swearing, before praying exasperately to the heap of incence paper. i was reminded that this is the hungry ghosts’ festival month. as we walked in the pitch black night (where wei hao observed that the moon was creepily full) on the desolate footpath, we kept scaring ourselves by telling ghost stories and how to see ghosts (methods portrayed in the eye10 horror movie)…

anyways, we finally reached the jumbo coffeeshop and fortunately, 1 stall was still operating. we had hokkien mee and chit-chatted till 11pm or so. then we decided to walk all the way to buona vista mrt station. we continued scaring ourselves. eugene told me a real incident that he encountered. his aunt has a “third eye”, and during a relative’s housewarming party, the lights started to flicker and his aunt started shouting in mandarin: don’t disturb us, leave us alone. the flickering of lights stopped.

it was pretty creepy.

in the end, i didn’t alight at queenstown station cos i would have to walk home alone in almost total pitch darkness and more importantly, close to the very inauspicious hour of midnight. luckily my dad came to pick me up at redhill station. lol.

anyways, it was truly a splendid and memorable night.. =D

my week at a glance.

monday: ponned school in the morning cos i was super tired and had a splitting headache. zhao peng came over to my house to type out his gp essay. we had ikea swedish meatballs for lunch. del.icio.us! we went to school at 1pm to attend econs and pw lectures.. it was quite fortunate that we’d ponned school in the morning cos the very smart and intellectual P caught latecomers and threatened to transfer them out of JJ.

tuesday: took physics spa, which was quite alright… after school, bin ming, zp and i went to sakae sushi for lunch buffet. considering that we ordered more than $170 worth of sushi, it was a relatively good deal for us. the waitress was pretty surprised to see that we had such big appetites. haha. then we started acting like cheapskates and began Operation Takeaway-Sushi. bin ming, being the professional and most experienced among us, started 打包ing the sushi by sandwiching them in between 2 plastic dish covers and stuffing it into his bag. haha. =D apart from that, we did tons of other amusing and pretty retarded stuff which, to save myself from embarrassment, will not be mentioned here. lol.

wednesday: had 麻辣板面 at tiong after school. it was totally delicious. i slurped up every single strand of noodle. even drank the soup right up to the very last drop. haha.

lol. i was just joking….the ban mian was too spicy for me. i couldn’t take it. i almost died… zhao peng is a weirdo…he was the one who drank the soup. there must be something wrong with his taste buds. crazy guy. haha.

thursday: chem spa. it was relatively easy. the propanol and octanol were darn strong and pungent though. i got a headache just by sniffing it…

today: after school, almost the whole class went to daiso at IMM to buy class folders. we underestimated the time required and ended up 1 hour late for econs lecture… kinda feel guilty about it myself, and ms lim was pretty upset and disappointed. =(

sushi? no thanks.

sushi was once my favourite food, but not anymore! had my second sushi buffet in just a span of around 2 weeks. crazy can! the taste of sushi will linger in my mouth for weeks to come. i’ll be so sick of it. haha. NO MORE SUSHIs for me!

i still like salmon sashimi though. haha.

time to work on WR. pw’s sucking the life out of me…zzz.
