outing
yesterday: movie-going with shu yi, bestia, raymond and renwei at JP. we watched the “horror” movie called “The Eye”. well, firstly, the so-called horror movie wasn’t at all horrifying. simply put — hollywood’s remake of 见鬼 was a total failure in terms of the scare factor, although i’ve to note that jessica alba was quite, er…easy on the eyes.
anyways, the thing about bad horror movies is that only stuff that manage to startle (not even to the extent of scare) is merely the loud and sudden sound effects. nothing else.
putting aside the meagre horror factor, i thought that the storyline was quite alright as compared to most other horror movies. even then, shu yi was whining that the eye was the second worst horror movie she has ever seen. lol. personally, it was probably the third worst for me.
in conclusion: hollywood should just leave horror movies to japanese producers.
after the movie, we went to the arcade to play. we played basketball, which i sucked, and daytona, which i sucked for the beginner track (mainly because i screwed up at the start), and owned for the advanced track (cos i was just too pro). then we stoned at macs for a short while before calling it a day (or rather, night). i reached home at midnight, which was quite late but still not the latest. haha.
