schoolday

well, nothing particularly interesting happened today. so this post will be pretty much a boring narration…

woke up at 7:30am to meet zhao peng and shermaine at redhill mrt before going to school. true to my prediction, shermaine was late (as usual). she was late because she had trouble swallowing dumplings if i’m not wrong…haha. and i was (ahem..) gracefully reminded that tomorrow is “dumpling” day. anyways, we went to mcdonald’s jurongpoint to have a quick breakfast. we were acutely unaware that our econs presentation lesson was at 9am. well actually, i had the feeling that it was at 9am so i asked zhao peng to confirm. zhao peng confidently declared that the presentation session starts at 9:30am. i consigned because zhao peng is usually the more trustworthy one. so we took our own sweet time at mcdonald’s enjoying our sausage mcmuffin as minutes swaggered by like nobody’s business. it was not until zhao peng received a call from girish that we realised i was right. by then it was already 9:15am, so we rushed off hurriedly to catch the bus. we managed to reach school at 9:35am, which was an ostentatious 35 minutes late. fortunately, ms audrey lim was understanding enough and annulled her initial decision to deduct our AP points. =D

oh…our econs presentation was a resounding success. all the hard work and effort that i’ve put into the powerpoint has paid off. haha. i sincerely beg for your pardon, but please do allow me some room to brag a little.

quote ms lim:
“this is the best powerpoint presentation that i have seen among all my classes.”
“the powerpoint is professionally done.”
“(to the class) you guys should take this powerpoint as a learning example. it will help you greatly for your project work.”

okay…my apologies for being egoistic. haha. alright alright. my group members do have credit for the various roles they’ve played in the econs project okay! zhao peng, the group leader, for burning midnight oil to provide data input for the written report. shermaine for googling for statistics, and graphs, effort in oral presentation and (ahem…) complaining that she doesn’t have powerpoint. bin ming for his initial statistics input and poised attitude which resulted in the successful oral presentation. =D

okay okay! enough on the presentation already..

Made of Honor

alright…after the econs presentation, we went to jurongpoint to catch a movie due to the long break that we had. we watched “Made of Honor”, a romance/comedy movie that imdb rated 5.1/10 stars. personally, i’d rate it 6.5/10 as it wasn’t exactly a bad movie. neither was it excellent. hmmm. i’m too tired now to write a full review of the movie. so if you’re looking for better reviews, you can try this for a start: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0866439/usercomments.

oh did i mention we underestimated the movie runtime that we had to leave the cinema prematurely and ended up 45 minutes late for the econs lecture..? haha…so much for punctuality.

I will not be late again…

alright! that’s all for today, especially where it’s a relatively long post. (see…zhao peng. happy now?)

shoutbacks!

  • Ren Wei // yep. she messaged me first to ask. i didn’t know it was hacked until i saw that burning eye picture. after that when you smsed me i was in the midst of recovering the site….
