busy

hey. i’ve been really busy nowadays..with OP and stuff.

anyways, here’s an announcement: there’ll be a get-together next Sat or Sunday at Eugene’s house. There’s a lineup of fun (wholesome) activities. we’ll be watching horror movies, playing ps3, playing BRIDGE, jamming (probably – i may bring my bass guitar over..), and the usual lame stuff that we do… =D haha. RSVP to eugene or me…

all jumbled up.

saturday: went to eugene’s house for the awesome get-together session with others like luke… played tons of bridge. we watched tons of horror movies too…from shutter, to sleepy hollow, to some other thai horror show (which i can’t remember the title now). we had lunch at fish and co. (the food was amazing and i’m now “hooked” on). anyways, i stayed over at his place so we had practically the whole night to burn…

(sneaking into MOS too…)

today:

school was a totally boring, so zp and i decided to pon halfway. we managed to sneak past the guard at around 10. we walked all the way to lakeside MRT station when zp’s chinese teacher called and wanted to meet him! so we trudged all the way back to school just to meet her. she told us that our taiwan oelp trip has been confirmed, and started haranguing on Chen Sui Bian and taiwan political status. lol.

after she was done, we rushed off again. most unfortunately, the darn guard stopped us this time and asked for our “study leave form”. we were pretty frustrated at that time and had a small squabble with her (which we lost, obviously…) haha. so…we sought “help” from mrMak. i could tell mrMak was quite aggravated, but he still helped us eventually by approving the early leave form. so off we went…almost an hour behind our planned schedule.

anyways, we headed to changi airport to have lunch and (attempt to) mug. i had the new york fish & chips at fish and co. (again!), which was awesomely delicious (i’m so addicted to it). furthermore, it was at a discounted price!!

oh btw, if you observed the 2 photos above, you would’ve noticed that the plane in the middle is the renowed and prestigious airbus A380. we saw it landing right before our eyes…really! i recognised the plane immediately and i told zp (cos he has been wanting to see the plane for himself, and he told me we could strike 4d if we see the a380). then zp was like…”no lah! that’s not the plane..”, “can’t be lah…it’s so small”..

zzZ. it took me a while to convince him. haha. even so, it took him an even longer while to digest the information. he kept saying..”my friend says it’s 2 football fields long and 7 storeys high! this is like…so small lah”. -.-

how could a plane be 2 football fields long, seriously? haha. maybe iit’s the wingspan that’s…1 football field long. more feasible right..? haha. i was going to mention tanglin special school btw…but nvm, i shall stop here or else he’d kill me. “HA!”.

anyways, i’m really happy cos eugene informed me i’ve been accepted as bassist into his band…”tara turnovers” if i’m not wrong.. haha. shoot me! i don’t even know the name of my band! hope i can keep my playing up to standard….=D

hmmm. this is one of the more proper post that my blog has seen in quite a while. i promise you that such posts will be quite a rare occurance though! =D. haha. okay whatever. it’s going to be the hols soon, so this blog will be somewhat revived.

the worst week ever

the week barely over but i can firmly declare: this is, by far, the worst week ever.

monday: went to school for nothing…(more details on the previous post).

tuesday: yet another boring day…found out that shermaine and co are not going for the taiwan trip. =( physics lecture was totally useless. couldn’t understand a single thing…it’s a waste of time. physics tutorial was much better. mrMak has shown tremendous improvement in his teaching. well, at least i understood 50% of what he was saying. anyways, we can’t really absorb much information as everyone seems to be already in the holiday mood (and hols are still a long 2 WEEKS away!!).

shermaine’s very funny. she was like…counting the number of school days left to hols on the phone’s calendar and kept grumbling about how long and unbearable it is going to be. then she started to plan which days she wanted to pon and subtracted that from the days left. she came up with the very conclusive result of “7” (reduced from 11) – not bad eh..? i thought so too…until she started nagging again. haha.

today: i managed to escape from the 老人’s clutches. zhao peng wasn’t so lucky. he got caught and was thrusted into a vicious and ludicrous cycle of meaningless “castigation”. 老人 is the most retarded teacher at jj by the way. he’s the most ridiculous and insane teacher i’ve ever met. (i could use a million swear words to describe him…really).

today also marks the day that i’ve decided to quit library. i’m quite certain on this. i don’t like the way things are run there – especially how commanding and authoritative people are…coupled with the inflexibility of duty slots, i’m so deadbeat and pressurized. oh not to mention, zhao peng and shermaine got fired from library today too, and this enforced my decision. i’m quite certain chin ting and kelly will follow suit. it’s just a matter of time….

now, i’ve to start racking my brains on what CCA to join, or perhaps, what CCA to propose to initiate.

hmmm. things are certainly not looking very well nowadays.

anyways, the only stuff that’re keeping my horizon gleaming are:

that holidays are 7 school days away.
i’m going to perform with my band for the MJC dance this nov!
practice sessions with my band, and a few gigs coming really soon!
the korea OELP trip (only zhaopeng and i are going… pathetic!!!)
hours and hours to tv and online programmes for my viewing pleasure. =D

alright. i’ve reached the end of yet another proper blog post. hope i will be able to keep up this consecutive sequence…=)

shopping…

met with zp in the morn to have breakfast. i intro’d my favourite porridge stall to him but he stubbornly insisted that the one at chinatown is better. the difference in taste is blatantly obvious, yet he’s blinded by his loyalty to the chinatown stall… -.-

after which, we proceeded to sim lim square. after weeks of delay, i finally bought a new hard disk to increase my com’s storage capacity! more movies!! yay. haha.

then. we went to bugis street to window shop. i hastily bought a shirt from spade which i liked. and i bought jay chou’s new album, capricorn, there too. it was a pretty good deal (given that it’s an original disc).

then, off to changi airport (again!). guess what? we had fish and co. for lunch AGAIN! initially, we wanted to try out the korean restaurant beside fish & co…but it looked excessively high-class for people of our bourgeois status. i had NEW YORK fish and chips AGAIN (can’t help it…haha). zp had peri peri catch. we saw the A380 again! this time it was up close (or rather, slight closer than previously seen). the ginormity of the A380 was distinctly distinguishable this time round…

sadly, i burnt a hole in my wallet today…

today was an awesomely fun day!

went out to eugene’s house to jam in the afternoon…all the way till 4 plus, before we went for dinner at raffles city burger king. had my mushroom swiss double meal. (my favourite bk food!)

okay, after that we met up with the rest of the band to jam at peninsular plaza.

we practised johnny b goode, skyway avenue by we the kings, dead! by MCR, shake it by metro station, and holiday by green day.

hmmm. it seems that we’ll be performing all 5 songs at the MJC bash this november….still not quite decided yet.

i’m pretty excited! =)

have to start practising more often too! haha

okay that’s all for today. my ears are still ringing after the hours of exposure to intense volumes, esp the drums! haha. next time i’ll remember to bring my earplugs to avoid getting deaf. =D

went shopping for clothes a couple of days ago, yet again!! oh great…i said i’ll curtail on spending excessively before..looks like i couldn’t abstain from that…zzZ. i lack self-control man. horrible.

anyways, A-levels chinese are coming up really soon. all the best to everyone who’s sitting for the paper!

crap. i just realised i made a mistake. i planned an outing tomorrow and didn’t realise that my friends are most likely mugging for A’s. =(

another failed outing, YET AGAIN!!! sian. why can’t things just go right..?

hmmm. i’ve been getting a little emo nowadays. keep thinking of the past. something’s wrong with me!! ahhh! haha.

oh btw, 08s16 class tee is out. at first i thought it was quite..erm…not nice.. (oh god, what an austere way to describe the shirt..my vocab sucks!). hmmm. but after i while, i thought that it wasn’t all too “not nice”. the grey (or gray..? forgot which one’s the british spelling..haha) colour matches our beige school pants IMO.

anyways, for the class T, i’m called squirrel — don’t ask me why.. i’m as clueless as you are. Nas has the funniest nickname. he’s called “find love”. LOL. i wonder if he is really serious about wearing the class shirt out in the public. haha!! shermaine’s called “rain” and zhao peng’s simply “peng” (which happens to be the most boring name in the whole class!!) haha. oh yeah. there’s another funny nickname. it’s xiuwen’s i think…she’s called monkey butt. and there’s bin ming, the “bankrupt” and “absentee” who’s jia cheng i believe..(cos he always pon lessons.) haha. i haven’t really seen the whole list of nicknames..

Top 3 Classes: 08S16!!

this was the original mms picture SPH girish sent (SPH stands for singapore press holdings, cos girish is like the mass media in our class who keeps sending “hot” MMSes like there’s no tomorrow. Very sadly, it’s all to my disadvantage! and i’m not going to elaborate further. @.@!). haha. explanations aside, this is the first time 08S16 is shown on screen as one of the top classes! (probably the last too…haha.) okay. i shouldn’t be so pessimistic.. =D. it’s a very special occassion, and hence, justifies the need for a mass SPH broadcast from girish. =)

alright. 2 more school days left before HOLS BEGIN! shermaine must be rejoicing right now. haha.

OP OP! i plan to have a last official rehearsal. don’t know if i can squeeze in one…zzZ!

i’m so bored now…so i decided to update my dead blog. haha.

okay. let’s see…

SCHOOL HOLS ARE HERE!

but i don’t feel relaxed at all.

maybe it’s because i know CHEM 101 is watching over me…

haha.

oh yeah. this incident just randomly flashed in my mind: our class tee was disapproved by steven koh.

and the reason..? cos it was devilish.

according to steven, our class logo has the devil symbol and therefore, it is banned. haha. his reasoning was much too ridiculous and hilarious to comprehend.

i reckon it is because the “angel and devil” ideology struck a chord with him — remembered the morning assembly-cum-lecture session he gave to the teachers..? haha. speaking of which, i’ve to admit our initial shirt design was much more explicit…it carried the class slogan, which was “devils of mak”.

ah. there goes the $18 class tee. hmmm. maybe i can wear it as pyjamas. i’ve to say…the shirt is quite comfy to wear.. haha. =D

anyways, i’m so looking forward to the korea school trip. it’s going to be one of the very few exciting things to expect during the hols before the route to hell (hmmm..this phrase rings a bell…i wonder where i heard it from..haha) begins next year… =(

oh oh. hannah reminded me…that it’s halloween now! omg. i’m living in a well. haha. oh anyways, i was reminded how bad my chinese was…
