it’s been such a long hiatus. after much deliberation (and being pestered repeatedly), i’ve finally decided to reopen this dusty, cobweb-filled, ancient place. actually, i’ve lost my touch with blogging. so pardon me if i write total crap from hence forth. alright here we go…

wait. i don’t know how to start. so much has happenned in the past weeks. hold on. i’ve a hell lot of recollection to do.

hmmm. the most memorable recent event has definitely got to be the Project Simply Love camp. i can proudly say that it was an overall success! all credit goes to the wonderful facilitators, who showed praiseworthy perserverance, and of course, the OC members too. although i was mostly handling the backend of stuff, the stark transformation of the campers from day 1 to day 3, was truly heartwarming indeed.

notwithstanding my super embarrassing wonder girls dance, my favourite part of the camp was the graduation night aka campfire. it was the first campfire i’ve experience. most of the other camps i’ve participated in the past promised campfires, but in the end, every single one of them scammed me with all sorts of crap. from faux fire to digital fire and whatnot. PSL campfire 0wned asses. it was pure spectacle! (: it’s indeed quite gratifying to know that our friendship bond has strengthened (and evolved – in the case of shiqah hashim) since we first met. =D

following PSL came a myriad of OC studying outings. we’d even came up with a name for our clique. it’s called “JRL”, aka “monkeys” and “halal muggers+derek+zhengyi+juehan+zhaopeng”! although it’s quite a mouthful, i still stand by my suggestion of “halal muggers+derek+zhengyi+juehan+zhaopeng”. haha. (:

MIDYEARS came and went. needless to say, i got pwned. although i’m somewhat happy with my math results, i’m quite certain i’ll fare badly for the rest. it is going to be so demoralising! ): alright, enough said about midyears. i dread it so much.

JRL+binming+aisyah picnic @ the botanic gardens was simply awesome. i had quite a lot of fun there! i hope we can have another outing soon! (:

yesterday: the CARECORNER’S VOLUNTEERS APPRECATION DAY.

everyone thought it was going to be a lunch buffet, so we went there on empty stomachs. turns out, it was a long awards presentation ceremony. -.-

we finally had our lunch at 5pm.

anyways, we talked crap almost throughout the entire awards ceremony. it was hilarious listening to the stuff that came out of the mouths this group of funny people. haha. especially the look on girish’s face when he found out that megan fox had a sexual reassignment surgery at the age of 16. lol! okay why did i even mention this…? it’s so damn disgusting and disturbing!

zhaopeng ~ great to see u here again! yeah. spent a long time trying to piece everything together. i’m so glad that it turns out fine. (: yeah totally! i’ll be playing korean songs on my blog from now on. :D

reality check

Went to watch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince yesterday. The movie was somewhat a disappointment. Perhaps I had rather high expectations of it. I’m a huge fan of the Harry Potter series – I have read each book at least 3 times over, and it never gets boring! Oh..the fantasies and vivid imagination one gets from reading is very much unrivalled indeed!

But sadly, now is no time for indulgence in fantasies and reading. Let’s snap back into nerve-wracking realities, shall we? We’ve all got to focus on studying. A level is a mere few months away. I’d really have to up the ante and motivate myself. I don’t wish to encounter another bout of deja vu. So..best of luck to all of us!

On the ending note to a friend: I’m deeply sorry to know about your loss. I extend my condolences to you and your family. I hope for strength for you and your family as you tide this adversity over.

surprise!

saturday: tried out bryan lai’s physics tuition with bin ming, zhao peng, shu yi, alvin and cindy. i’ve got to say…it was pretty good. well, at least he’s teaching at a very comfortable pace. my other physics tutor at bishan teaches at the speed of light. haha.

today: physics tuition at bishan, dunno what vincent (my physics tutor) will say next week when he finds out that we’ve terminated our tuition. haha. okay, i’ll leave zhaopeng to worry about that.

tomorrow: physics tuition with bryan lai after extra physics lecture in school.

i’m about to go nuts.

anyways, today is a very jolly day for me! my parents surprised me (after physics tuition). we headed down to suntec city for the electronics exhibition and they got me the CANON EOS 500D Kit II! $2049 + quite a few free gifts. it sounds like a pretty good deal to me. but i’d better check with bin ming tomorrow, just in case. haha.
